Desert Landing Site (DLS)™

A course covering semi-prepared and tactical Desert Landing Site (DLS) surveying, imagery analysis & site selection, as well as, service life maintenance & weather condition impacts during operations; including an overview of Engineering Technical Letters (ETLs) 97-9, 04-7 and 02-19, and a review of DAFMAN 13-217 (and applicable AFSOC Supplements). Surveyors will understand how to implement the ‘highest’ level of safety standards when evaluating any and all vertical obstructions and calculating height above runway cross-sections, longitudinal and transverse gradient analysis, Glide Slope Ratio (GSR) and Displaced Threshold determination(s). Note: Course instruction includes measurement and reporting techniques for Ruts, Rolling Resistance Material/ Rolling Friction Factor, and Runway Condition Ratings for SPACI analysis and surface distress reporting for all potential movement areas.

 

Contingency Operations™

This course is tailored for personnel planning, performing or supporting Crisis Response or Limited Contingency Operations by exploring the principles & characteristics of working in an overseas, urban and/or challenged environment through practical and situational field training exercises.

H-Hour™

This Full Mission Profile (FMP) event challenges even the most experienced operator in their ability to react and overcome adverse conditions during a cradle-to-grave Air Field seizure and Assault Zone Operation. Trainees utilize the full spectrum of Military Decision Making & Tactical operations processes to facilitate the mobility of Joint and Combined Forces’ Aviation and Ground assets within an unfamiliar (non-scripted) scenario which helps to critically evaluate and test an individual’s capabilities, a team’s cohesiveness, and an entire organization’s overall readiness to execute this important mission.
