A ten-day surveyors course focused on building a framework utilizing core principles of Aviation and the Survey Cycle, concentrating on the fundamentals of equipment preparation & usage, maintenance, logistics, tactics techniques & procedures (TTPs), while incorporating various software & hardware solutions designed specifically for pre-mission analysis and post-production techniques found in our Level 1 course, coupled with mission planning & execution, data collection & analysis, field-work, and production of highly accurate, professional assault zone & airfield surveys found in our Level 2 course. A multifaceted cradle-to-grave Introductory Surveyor’s Course, thus creating a strong foundation of knowledge to build upon.

February 24, 2020 - March 6, 2020

An advanced course covering all aspects of standard tactical and administrative Drop Zone (DZ) surveying and site selection, including an overview of AFI 13-217 (AFSOC Supplement) for DZ criteria, Host Nation DZ surveys, a review of Safety of Flight (SoF) procedures, & survey package submission to the final approving authority. Surveyors will understand how to implement the ‘highest’ level of safety standards when evaluating potential hazards to aircraft, personnel and/or equipment, how to properly assess a potential site for usage & provide recommendations based on unit or mission requirements. Note: Course instruction also includes an introduction to various other types of DZ’s; (i.e., MFF, JPADS, I-CDS, HVCDS, Drop Sondes, Area (w/RPI’s & MPI’s), Water, Open Field, Tree Jump, Mission, and Parachute Demonstration Team).

Excerise Gold Standard™ – This Full Mission Profile (FMP) event challenges even the most experienced operator in their ability to react and overcome adverse conditions during a cradle-to-grave Air Field seizure and Assault Zone Operations. Trainees utilize the full spectrum of Military Decision Making & Tactical operations processes to facilitate Joint and Combined Forces’ Aviation and Ground assets within an unfamiliar (non-scripted) scenario in order to critically evaluate and test individuals capabilities, a team’s cohesiveness, and an entire organization’s overall readiness to execute this important mission.
